Nawab Malik to Contest from Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar

Former Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik has announced that he will file his nomination from the Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar constituency for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. Despite reports that the NCP may not declare him as its candidate due to BJP’s opposition, Malik remains firm in his decision, stating that he will not succumb to political pressure and will not compromise his ideology. There are speculations that he was denied a ticket from Anushakti Nagar by Ajit Pawar’s NCP due to BJP’s pressure, but Malik has not specified whether he will contest as an independent candidate or on an NCP ticket. He believes that he will win from Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar, and his daughter will win from Anushakti Nagar.
