The Kannur District Library Council Development Committee organized a four-day book festival that concluded at the Kannur collectorate grounds. Minister Kadannappally Ramachandran and writer M. Mukundan were part of the concluding ceremony. Mukundan emphasized the importance of maintaining high literary standards in writing to prevent literature from becoming “polluted.” He also highlighted the significance of reading in Malayali culture and advocated for a culture where physical books remained essential. The event also included a screening of Mukundan’s work, Bonzhur Mayyazhi, directed by E.M. Ashraf.
