Education and IT minister Nara Lokesh intervened to save an APSRTC contract driver who was allegedly suspended for dancing before an RTC bus. The driver, Nethala Lova Raju, had been working as an ‘on-call driver’ at Tuni Depot. He danced to a film song when his bus was stuck due to a broken-down tractor, which was captured on social media and went viral. The RTC authorities initially allowed him to continue working until the issue came to their notice. After investigating the incident, they decided not to suspend him and asked him to report back to work on October 29. Lokesh expressed his support for the driver and promised to meet him personally upon his return from the US.
