Gettysburg bars swimmers after report of slur scratched on student

Two students at Gettysburg College were suspended from the swim team after a racial slur was scratched onto a student’s body with a plastic or ceramic tool. The incident, which took place during an informal social gathering on campus, was reported by upper-class students on the swim team. Gettysburg College officials are actively investigating the incident through the student conduct process.
