England boss Lee Carsley: I haven’t applied for full-time job

Lee Carsley, the interim manager of the England national soccer team, stated that he has not formally applied for the permanent manager position but feels privileged to lead the senior team. He has been with the under-21s since 2021 and recently won the European U21 Championship. Despite facing criticism after a loss to Greece, Carsley is focused on the job at hand and believes in the team’s potential. He sees the England manager role as one of the best in world football and is determined to find the best successor for the job. England currently sits second in their Nations League group and will face Finland next.
