Dilip Khedkar, the father of former IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, is now running as an Independent candidate in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections from the Shevgaon constituency. This comes after Puja Khedkar was discharged from the IAS due to accusations of cheating and improperly securing quota benefits. The UPSC canceled her candidature and debarred her from future exams. Dilip Khedkar previously contested the Lok Sabha Polls 2024 but was defeated. The Maharashtra Assembly Elections are scheduled for November 20, with vote counting on November 23.
