IndiGo Evaluates Honorific ‘Mx’ For Internal Candidates

IndiGo Airlines is introducing the ‘Mx’ option for passengers who do not want to identify themselves, providing a choice for transgenders. They are also evaluating the gender-neutral honorific ‘Mx’ for internal candidates to boost inclusivity. The airline aims to double the number of individuals with disabilities they employ. They have implemented initiatives for the LGBTQ+ community, including employee referral programs and benefits like gender reassignment surgery coverage. As of March 31, 2024, they had over 240 individuals with disabilities in customer-facing roles and plan to increase this number in the coming financial year.
