Colin Farrell recently ran the Irish Life Dublin Marathon to raise awareness and funds for Debra Ireland, a charity that supports individuals living with the rare and painful genetic skin disorder epidermolysis bullosa (EB). He completed the marathon in just over four hours, pushing his friend Emma Fogarty, who has EB, in a wheelchair for the final 2.5 miles. The duo exceeded their fundraising goal of 400,000 euros and are now aiming to raise 1 million euros for EB research in honor of Fogarty’s 40th birthday. Farrell praised Fogarty’s strength and resilience, highlighting the challenges she faces with EB. The condition, which affects over half a million people worldwide, causes severe blistering and fragility of the skin.
