Pune Metro: Names of 3 Important Stations To Be Changed Soon

Maha Metro in Pune is renaming three metro stations based on commuters’ requests. The name change process for Bhosari, Budhwar Peth, and Mangalwar Peth stations is expected to be completed in the next 10 to 15 days. Bhosari station will be renamed Nashik Phata, Mangalwar Peth will become RTO, and Budhwar Peth will be called Kasba Peth. The goal is to make station names more reflective of their locations and landmarks. Additionally, the Central Government has approved renaming the ‘Civil Court Station’ as ‘Shivajinagar District Court Metro Station’. The Pune Metro Phase-I project is also expanding with a new underground line extension.
