Pune Metro: Names of 3 Important Stations To Be Changed Soon

The names of three metro stations in Pune are set to be changed following requests from commuters. Maha Metro had suggested renaming Bhosari, Budhwar Peth, and Mangalwar Peth stations in 2023, and now the name change process is complete. Bhosari station will be renamed Nashik Phata, Mangalwar Peth will be renamed RTO, and Budhwar Peth will become Kasba Peth. These changes aim to make station names more accurate and avoid confusion among passengers. Additionally, the Central Government has approved renaming the ‘Civil Court Station’ as ‘Shivajinagar District Court Metro Station’. The Pune Metro Phase-I project is also set to expand with the approval of the Swargate-to-Katraj Underground Line Extension.
