Russia has seized the village of Ocheretyne in eastern Ukraine, marking another territorial gain for Moscow. The capture comes after Russia took control of Avdiivka in February and has since advanced further into Ukraine. The Defence Ministry announced that Russian troops had liberated Ocheretyne, located near Avdiivka. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s military has pulled back from three villages in the Donetsk region and is fortifying new defensive lines. Kyiv has faced challenges with delays in receiving Western weapons supplies but hopes the arrival of US arms will help stabilize the front lines.
