Rocket fire from Lebanon killed five people in northern Israel, including four foreign workers, in the deadliest attack since Israel’s invasion earlier this month. Hezbollah and Hamas, backed by Iran, have been launching attacks into Israel, sparking a full-blown war. The town of Metula, surrounded by Lebanon, has suffered heavy damage from rockets, with residents evacuated in 2023. Hezbollah’s new leader vowed to continue fighting Israel until acceptable cease-fire terms are offered. The Israeli military has warned people to evacuate from areas of southern Lebanon, with thousands displaced since September.
