Nepalese teenager Nima Rinji Sherpa has made history by becoming the youngest mountaineer to climb the 14 highest peaks on Earth, known as the “eight-thousanders”. These massive peaks are all located in Asia, in the Himalayas and Karakoram mountain ranges. Nima Rinji achieved this incredible feat by standing atop Mount Shishapangma, completing all 14 peaks in just 740 days. Accompanied by his climbing partner Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, Nima Rinji has also climbed other challenging mountains in the Himalayas. He hopes to inspire younger Sherpas to break free from stereotypes and realize their potential in mountaineering. Nima Rinji’s achievement is a tribute to the Sherpa community and their strength, resilience, and passion for mountaineering.
