NATO confirms that North Korea has sent troops to join Russia’s war in Ukraine

Members of the Korean Veterans Association held a rally against the deployment of North Korean troops to Russia near the Russian Embassy in Seoul. NATO confirmed that North Korean troops have been sent to aid Russia in its war against Ukraine, with some already deployed in the Kursk region. This move is seen as a dangerous escalation and expansion of the conflict. NATO is closely monitoring the situation and consulting with allies and partners. The deployment of North Korean soldiers will add pressure on Ukraine’s army and increase tensions in the Korean Peninsula and Indo-Pacific region. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy claimed that North Korean troops would soon be on the battlefield, with reports suggesting around 10,000 troops are being readied to join Russian forces. The U.S. and South Korea have also reported evidence of North Korean troop deployment to Russia.
