LAPD: Parents turn in their kids for flash mob robberies at 7-Eleven stores

Parents of some unruly teens accused of flash mob robberies at convenience stores in Los Angeles have turned their children in to the police. At least three parents have done so, with the latest surrender happening recently. The LAPD has shared surveillance footage of the incidents, showing groups of young men biking to the stores, forcing their way in, and causing chaos inside. The police have described the group as a “bicycle crew” consisting of around 20 to 40 juveniles. The incidents have caused fear among witnesses and store employees, with some being physically pushed by the suspects. The parents who turned in their children did so to prevent further escalation of criminal behavior.
