A Hamas commander who was responsible for coordinating terrorist activities in Lebanon has been killed in an airstrike. Fateh Sherif led Hamas’ efforts in Lebanon to recruit operatives and acquire weapons, as well as advance their interests politically and militarily. He was also an accredited member of the UNRWA. The strike targeted Sherif in his house in Tyre, Lebanon. In a separate incident, three leaders of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine were killed in an airstrike in Beirut. Israeli officials stated that they will continue to operate against anyone who poses a threat to Israeli civilians. Hezbollah’s deputy leader announced that the terrorist group is ready to fight back against any Israeli ground operation in Lebanon.
