Iran successfully launched a research satellite into orbit using a rocket built by the Revolutionary Guard. The satellite, named Chamran-1, weighs 60 kg and reached a 550 km orbit in space. Its main mission is to test space hardware and software. Signals from the satellite were received by land stations. The rocket, Ghaem-100, was designed and made by the Guard aerospace division using solid fuel. This launch marks the first under Iran’s reformist President Masoud Pezeshkian, following the death of his predecessor Ebrahim Raisi.
