Iran calls Sinwar a martyr

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed by Israeli forces, and Iran hailed him as a martyr with a vision for a liberated Palestine. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Sinwar a coward who fled in panic from soldiers. Iran compared Sinwar’s death to Saddam Hussein’s capture. Sinwar was a top leader of Hamas, which is funded and trained by Iran. Israel has targeted top leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah. Iran has launched missiles at Israel and has a history of supporting terror groups in the region. Netanyahu vowed to end Iran’s reign of terror on its people and neighboring countries. Recently, drones launched by pro-Iranian militias from Iraq attacked an Israeli military base, killing two soldiers.
