Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki volcano has been very active since a huge eruption that killed nine people earlier in the week. The volcano has continued to spew ash and volcanic materials, damaging buildings and forcing thousands of people to evacuate. The government has expanded the danger zone and is providing relief supplies to those affected. The volcano has also caused the closure of several airports in the area due to safety concerns. Indonesia is prone to volcanic activity due to its location along the “Ring of Fire.”
