India has agreed to participate in the upcoming online meeting of trade ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Islamabad. Officials from SCO member countries are working on finalizing the agenda for the meeting, which is crucial for cooperation among member states like China, Russia, India, and Pakistan. Pakistan had extended an invitation to India’s Commerce and Industry Minister, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had invited all heads of government, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, there are reports that Modi may skip the summit.
