Hezbollah’s deputy chief Sheikh Naim Qassem has stated that despite the loss of their leader and senior commanders, the group is prepared to face an Israeli ground offensive. Qassem emphasized that Israel has not significantly damaged Hezbollah’s military capabilities and that the group will continue to fight. He also mentioned that Hezbollah’s operations have increased since the killing of their leader. Qassem asserted that Hezbollah will soon appoint new leadership through internal processes. He declared that Hezbollah is ready for a ground incursion by Israel and will not be deterred from their goals despite Israel’s aggression against civilians in Lebanon. Qassem criticized Israel for committing massacres and highlighted the US as a partner in supporting Israel. He concluded by expressing confidence in Hezbollah’s ability to prevail, citing their previous confrontation with Israel in 2006.
