Gaza agency says Israeli strike kills 40 in humanitarian zone

The Gaza civil defence agency reported that an Israeli strike on a humanitarian zone in Khan Yunis killed 40 people and wounded 60 others. The strike targeted a Hamas command center in the area, despite it being designated as a safe zone. Rescue operations are ongoing to find missing people and help those injured. The Israeli military claims they targeted Hamas terrorists, while Hamas denies their presence. The ongoing conflict has resulted in numerous civilian casualties and displacements. Efforts to negotiate a ceasefire and prisoner exchange are ongoing, but no agreement has been reached yet.
