Florida residents prepare for round two of back-to-back hurricanes after ‘45 years of good luck’



As Hurricane Milton approaches the west coast of Florida, residents in Siesta Key are bracing for back-to-back storms after 45 years of good luck. Many are still recovering from the damage caused by Hurricane Helene last month. Fred Schuh, a resident of Siesta Key, is preparing for the second storm in two weeks and is uncertain about the fate of his home. Venice Police Chief Charlie Thorpe is urging residents to take the warning seriously and prepare for what is expected to be a significant storm. Despite the uncertainty, residents like Fred Schuh are facing the reality that Mother Nature is unpredictable and they must do their best to stay safe.
