Donald Trump Vs Kamala Harris: Biggest fund-raising quarter ever: How Harris surpassed Trump in money

Kamala Harris has broken fundraising records this fall, raising $1 billion in the last quarter, with $378 million raised in September alone. Despite the backing of Elon Musk, the Trump campaign raised $160 million in September. Harris entered October with $348 million on hand, while Trump had $283 million. Harris has consistently out-raised and outspent Trump since June when Joe Biden dropped out of the race. The previous record-holder for fundraising is Joe Biden. Big donors for Harris include Future Forward, with undisclosed donors giving eight-figure checks. Trump has struggled to raise as much money as in his 2020 run, resorting to cash crunch measures like offloading traditional campaign expenditures. Timothy Mellon, heir to a banking fortune, donated $25 million to a pro-Trump super PAC, while Linda McMahon, Trump’s transition co-chair, donated $5 million.
