Climber Sandy Irvine’s remains found on Mount Everest after 100 years



After 100 years, the mystery of British climber Sandy Irvine’s disappearance on Mount Everest in 1924 has finally been solved. A National Geographic team discovered a boot with Irvine’s name stitched into it, providing clues about his fate. This discovery may help shed light on whether Irvine and his partner George Mallory reached the summit. Mallory’s remains were found in 1999, but Irvine’s whereabouts were unknown until now. Irvine’s great-niece was moved to tears by the news, and the Irvine family is offering DNA samples to confirm the identity of the remains.
