Cash-strapped Pakistan seeks additional 10 billion yuan loan from China: Report



Pakistan is asking China for an additional $1.4 billion loan as the country is facing financial difficulties. The finance minister met with Chinese officials to request an increase in the existing loan facility to a total of $5.7 billion. This is not the first time Pakistan has asked for a higher debt limit, but China has previously declined. The latest request comes shortly after an extension of the current loan facility, pushing Pakistan’s debt repayment deadline to 2027.
