Students from the Mog community in Bangladesh are protesting against the exclusion of indigenous people and religious minorities from the constitutional reform process by the interim government. The Rights and Risks Analysis Group highlighted human rights violations in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, where indigenous people were attacked and their properties destroyed by illegal settlers and the Bangladesh Army. The group called on the diplomatic community to pressure the government to include indigenous peoples and minorities in the reform process and investigate the human rights violations. Various diplomats attended a briefing on the issue in New Delhi.
