4 US college instructors stabbed in attack at Chinese public park

Four university tutors from Iowa were stabbed in an attack at a public park in China. The assailant is in custody and a Chinese person who intervened was also stabbed. The injured educators are in stable condition. The incident was described as a random attack and is not expected to affect relations between China and the United States. The victims were visiting a temple in Beishan Park when they were attacked. The U.S. State Department is monitoring the situation. Chinese officials assure that the country is safe for foreigners. President Xi Jinping has pledged to invite young Americans for study programs in China.
