Widening of two narrow roads taking off from Vyttila in limbo

There is growing concern about the congestion at Vyttila and other junctions on the NH 66 bypass, as the Public Works department has not taken steps to widen the narrow Vyttila-Kunnara Park corridor and Kaniampuzha Road. The Motor Vehicles department and traffic police are limited in what they can do to alleviate the traffic block. The State government and PWD need to take action to widen free-left turns and carriageways to decongest Vyttila and Kundannur junctions. Despite past efforts to submit traffic reform proposals, little has been done to address the ongoing traffic issues. There is a need for funding and action to improve the situation at these critical junctions.
