Vigilance sleuths seize ₹1.5 lakh in unaccounted from sub-registrar, tout in Coimbatore

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) seized ₹1.5 lakh in unaccounted cash allegedly collected by a sub-registrar and her tout from document writers in Coimbatore. The cash was found on Keerthi Shankar, who acted as a tout for sub-registrar Nancy Nithya Karoline. DVAC officials conducted a surprise raid at the Singanallur Sub-Registrar’s Office and apprehended Shankar with the cash. Detailed records of the bribe money were found in Karoline’s possession. Legal action will be taken against the sub-registrar and her accomplice based on legal advice.
