Union Minister Pralhad Joshi’s kin booked

The Basaveshwaranagar police have filed a cheating case against Union Minister Pralhad Joshi’s brother Gopal Joshi and two others for offering a Lok Sabha ticket in exchange for money and then failing to deliver. The complainant, Sunitha Chauvan, was promised a ticket in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections if she paid ₹5 crore. She borrowed ₹25 lakh and handed it over to Gopal’s sister, Vijayalakshmi. However, they never received the ticket and Gopal demanded more money, eventually leading to assault, verbal abuse, and threats. The police have registered an FIR charging the trio with cheating and other offenses.
