Undefeated UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria defended his title against former champ Max Holloway at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi. Topuria won the belt in February with a knockout of Alexander Volkanovski. Holloway, ranked 10th, has won three fights in a row. In the co-main event, Khamzat Chimaev defeated Robert Whittaker with a neck crank. Holloway is known for fighting on the road and hasn’t competed in Hawaii since 2011. Topuria and Holloway’s recent performances make their matchup highly anticipated. Holloway’s KO of Justin Gaethje in April is considered one of the greatest in UFC history.
