U.S. inflation data, stocks and news

Global investors are awaiting the latest US monetary policy decision, causing European markets to trade slightly higher on Wednesday. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.3% in early trading, with all sectors trading in the green. Mining stocks rose by 0.8%, while financial assets incurred a loss of 0.05%. Dutch bank ABN Amro reported a 29% increase in first-quarter profits, while Commerzbank in Germany exceeded expectations with a 29% growth in first-quarter profits. The US trading session on Wednesday is expected to see a 0.4% increase from April, with financial experts expecting a rise in annual profit. Additionally, producer price indexes in April surpassed economic analysts’ expectations, indicating a potential decrease in the Federal Reserve’s interest rate. Asian-Pacific markets also saw a significant increase, with the Nasdaq Composite reaching a new record high. US stock futures experienced a slight decline overnight.
