Tokyo CPI, Singapore manufacturing output



Asia-Pacific markets mostly rose on Friday as investors awaited Japan’s general election. Tokyo released its October inflation numbers, with both headline and core inflation rates falling from the previous month. The Nikkei 225 and Topix indices in Japan fell after the inflation report, while South Korea’s Kospi gained and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 climbed. In the U.S., the S&P 500 bounced back powered by Tesla’s strong third-quarter results, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded its first four-day losing streak since June.
