Acidity and acid reflux can be really uncomfortable, causing nausea, heartburn, and pain in various body parts. But the good news is that the food we eat can be both the cause and the solution to this problem. Dietitian Kanupreet Arora Narang shared some helpful tips to manage acid reflux effectively through a good diet and eating habits. Some of the best foods to include in your diet are buttermilk, coconut water, ginger lemon water, cucumber water, rosemary and chamomile tea, and ajwain saunf water. On the other hand, it’s best to avoid tea/coffee, chocolates, carbonated beverages, spicy foods like chili and garlic, and alcohol to prevent and manage acidity. Remember to sit upright while eating, maintain a gap between meals and sleep, eat slowly, practice portion control, and take a short walk after each meal to help with acid reflux.
