Telangana’s river and muse to go behind a wall

The temple pond of Ramalingeswara Swamy temple in Pudur is a source of joy for the local community, serving as a watering hole for animals and a bathing space for children. The pond is the origin of the River Musi, which flows through Hyderabad and Nalgonda. However, the construction of walls by the Indian Navy’s Very Low Frequency Station may limit access to the temple, affecting both people and wildlife. The River Musi holds historical significance dating back to ancient times, and its identity is deeply intertwined with the culture of Telangana. Once the origin of the river is hidden behind walls, a part of its essence will be lost.
