T.N. political party representatives flag anomalies in electoral rolls

During a meeting organized by the Election Commission of India, representatives of political parties highlighted the need for removing duplicate entries, names of deceased individuals, and correcting mismatches in voters’ photos and names on electoral rolls. Parties like DMK, BJP, AIADMK, CPI, and AAP raised concerns about these issues, noting discrepancies in voter lists and calling for improvements in the electoral process. The Election Commission plans to release integrated draft rolls soon, with opportunities for claims and objections to be filed before the final rolls are published in January 2025.
