Sub-inspector dies after he comes in contact with live wire at Paramakudi



A sub-inspector of police, Saravanan, tragically passed away after being electrocuted by a live wire while on duty in Paramakudi. He was removing a flex banner during Thevar Jayanthi when the incident occurred, leaving behind his wife and children. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin expressed his condolences and the Tamil Nadu government announced a relief of ₹25 lakh for Saravanan’s family. Senior police officials paid their respects at his funeral, where he was laid to rest with a 21-gun salute. Saravanan was a dedicated officer who will be deeply missed by the Police Department.
