Sources – Lore, Rodriguez have $940M ready for Wolves before ruling

Minority owners Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez have $940 million ready to buy full ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the WNBA’s Lynx from majority owner Glen Taylor. Taylor initially wanted to sell but now wants to keep the team. Lore and Rodriguez had agreed to buy the team for $1.5 billion three years ago, but the sale was halted due to missed deadlines. They are now set for an arbitration hearing with Taylor and will need approval from the NBA board of governors. The $940 million represents the final payment needed for full ownership. Michael Bloomberg also joined the Lore-Rodriguez group over the summer.
