The Delhi High Court has instructed Tihar jail authorities to provide necessary medical treatment to separatist leader Yasin Malik, who is on a hunger strike after being sentenced to life in a terror case. The court has asked for a health status report before the next hearing on November 11. Malik’s lawyer stated that he urgently requires hospital admission due to serious cardiac and kidney ailments. The court has directed the jail superintendent to ensure Malik receives proper medical care according to jail rules. Malik has appealed his sentence and claims to have been denied proper health investigation and treatment.
