The National Green Tribunal has taken note of the poor water quality in Bengaluru lakes and has asked various authorities to respond to the issue. Despite the installation of Sewage Treatment Plants, the water quality in many lakes remains poor, with some lakes even on the verge of ecological collapse. The lack of crucial parameters in water quality reports raises concerns about the health of aquatic life. The authorities have been asked to provide a response before the next hearing in December to address the deteriorating condition of the lakes.
