Pennsylvania officials are investigating up to 2,500 fraudulent voter registration applications in Lancaster County. Election workers discovered inaccurate information, mismatched signatures, and forms with the same handwriting completed by paid canvassers as part of a large-scale operation. The investigation has found violations of the crimes and elections codes, prompting a wide-scale investigation involving law enforcement and outreach to affected voters. So far, 60% of the reviewed forms have been deemed fraudulent. Legitimate applications will still be processed, and eligible voters will not be turned away. This incident is not uncommon, as paid canvassers have been known to forge political forms in other states like Michigan.
