Carolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson has suffered a season-ending injury for the second year in a row, believed to be a torn Achilles. Despite this setback, Thompson has indicated that he has no plans to retire and will be back. He was having a great season leading the team in tackles, and rookie Trevin Wallace is likely to replace him. Thompson was voted team captain along with three other players for this season.
