Overwhelming majority of black swing-state voters back Harris over Trump

New data from the Howard University Initiative on Public Opinion shows that a majority of black voters in swing states support Vice President Kamala Harris over former President Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. The poll indicates that 82% of respondents back Harris, while only 12% support Trump. There is also a significant age difference in support, with older black voters overwhelmingly supporting Harris and younger voters showing more support for Trump. The poll surveyed black voters over 18 in seven swing states and was conducted between Sept. 4 and Sept. 11.
