The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones in Muscat has announced a tender for a project at the fishing port in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm. The project, funded by the Saudi Development Fund, will involve infrastructure and utility networks such as road networks, power supply, drainage systems, and more. OPAZ is inviting Omani and Saudi company coalitions to participate in the tender through the “Isnad” platform, with a deadline of November 18. The fishing port in Duqm is strategically located near planned fisheries and food industries, with the goal of serving green energy projects. The port is operated by Duqm Port Investment Company, which includes companies from the Omani Investment Authority and the French Lorient Port Company.
