Oman’s governorates compete with landmark projects



The Urban October Conference showcased the competition between governorates in Oman to implement developmental and tourism projects. The event highlighted investment opportunities worth RO82 million from previous winning projects. The National Initiative for the Development of Local Governance aims to enhance skills in governance and economic decentralization in governorates. Governor Mohammed al Kindi emphasized the significant liquidity available for investment in various governorates. Projects like Al Radhad Boulevard in Salalah and Ames Bay Development in Khasab are focusing on engaging the local community and improving infrastructure. These projects are expected to boost tourism and economic activity in the region.
