Nizwa Fort showcases heritage and peace through tourism



The Department of Heritage and Tourism in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, along with the Sultan Qaboos Institute, celebrated World Tourism Day at Nizwa Fort. The event showcased Omani culture through traditional arts, culinary experiences, and dialogue with students. The goal was to promote peace and mutual understanding through tourism. The Assistant Director highlighted the importance of tourism in sustainable development and attracting visitors interested in cultural immersion. World Tourism Day focuses on promoting peace through tourism, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and building bridges between societies. The event emphasized Oman’s rich heritage and its role in promoting peace. The call was made to continue efforts in promoting Oman’s cultural heritage on an international level.
