MLB wants clarity on Tropicana Field status by Christmas



Major League Baseball is currently assessing the damage caused by Hurricane Milton to determine if Tropicana Field will be ready for the 2025 season. Commissioner Rob Manfred stated that they are still evaluating the extent of the damage and exploring options, including potentially playing at a minor league or spring facility if necessary. The safety and quality of the playing surface are top priorities, and adjustments may need to be made to accommodate two big league teams. The league is also considering potential schedule changes to accommodate a move to a different park, with a decision expected before the New Year.
