Maoists say seven more cadres were killed in Chhattisgarh encounter, taking toll up to 38

In Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region, a total of 38 Naxalites were killed in a recent encounter with security forces, marking the highest fatalities suffered by Maoists in the state’s history. The bodies of the Naxalites were identified, with some carrying significant rewards on their heads. The Maoists have admitted that seven more of their cadres lost their lives in the same gunfight. These individuals were wanted in numerous Naxalite-related incidents, including encounters with police, attacks on camps, and bombings. The bodies have been handed over to their families, and security forces have eliminated nearly 200 Maoists in the region this year.
