JD Vance taps Rep Tom Emmer to play Tim Walz in debate prep

Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance is preparing for the upcoming CBS Vice Presidential Debate against Democrat Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. He has been reviewing plans, strategies, and potential tough questions with the help of his team, including former President Trump’s running mate. Vance has been practicing with mock debates, with Rep. Tom Emmer playing the role of Walz. He has been doing most of his preparations at home or in online sessions. Vance’s frequent media interviews have also helped him prepare for the debate. Walz’s mock debates will feature U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Trump and Harris have already had two debates, and it seems unlikely there will be a third.
